The Ginimao Estate, founded in the late 19th Century, is among the pick of coffee estates in the region. Over generations, Ginimao has been known to produce high quality Arabica Coffees and premium Robustas. Today, the estate is owned by the Rebello family who have blended the old with the new - retaining the heritage of Ginimao, while giving it a touch of modernity, to be competitive in today’s marketplace.

Ginimao is 2 km from Mallandur village - on the outer tracts of the Giri Mountains. The altitude here, peaks from 3100 to 3500 feet above sea level. Traditionally, you will find Robusta at the lower altitudes, while Arabica is commonly grown at the higher altitudes.

The Estate borders the fringe areas of the Muthodi Game Sanctuary - famous for its variety of fauna and flora, particularly the rich bird-life. The Royal Bengal Tiger roams here, freely, along with Elephants, Gaur, and other rare wildlife. Our coffee estate is an “extended” sanctuary to these rare birds and animals.
